I've been working at the coffee shop for the last couple of weeks and it isn't that bad, been living with my boyfriend, Elliott, and his roommates apartment for the last week or so. It's cool that I get to sleep in the same bed with my hon, but I wish my lease will start soon, I miss my own pc and crappy futon sometimes, wouldn't mind finding some Yu-gi-oh! Card players here as well.. I'm starting to have withdraw symptoms for not playing

Also, I got a bunch of doddles I should go scan, though I'm scared to break my bf's scanner. Anyways, I'm bored and wondering what should I draw next..if you have any other ideas, just post it.

I'm finally "FINALLY" going to do my paper...honest! lol If I get done with my paper, I get to buy WoW and play with my bf :P
I only got to lv 11 with my trial account and it seems fun, so i think it would be a nice reward for me after getting this done. Plus my hon gotz 2 lv 70 >_<.. lol

Still working on my card, realizing how similar it was to the WoW TCG though...which is not a bad idea, but it needs some more unique changes.

Lately I've been toying around with the idea of making my own card game, but it's been kinda a crazy since I'm almost done writing down the basic rules and game machanics. All I have to do now is make up some cards and play-test it and see what does what...I want to make sure there's no endless loops/combo that is too easy too pull off, I mean if it takes 10 cards to make a loop, it's fine, but anything lower than 6 cards is just too busted. Also, same thing goes with cards being uber-busted, I'll just probably nerf the effects a little or ditch the card idea. Anyways I need some sleep..it's 3AM..

Weird fortune

I went out a couple weeks ago to get some Chinese, the food was okay, but anyways, after gettting the fortunes cookie at the end of the meal I realize I built quite a big collection of these in my wallet.
I can't really say I believe in these or listen to these fortunes, but theres one that seems to make me happy when I get it.
Even if i'm pissed or whatever, it makes me smile:

The lucky number may always change but the quote stay quite the same. It makes me think how many true friends I really have and how many friends seem to just come and go through out my life. I may be thinking too hard about these silly things, but I don't...it just got me thinking.

I'm writing my paper, yes the same paper I was talking about for the last month or so, but the due date is 12:30pm today. I REALLY NEED TO STOP doing this, well, procrasinating...lol

glad it was easy today

Had to finish some CADD homework before I go to sleep. As you can see it doesn't look that hard. Just some basic math and some override commands to get it done. I do like the class, but I find myself daydreaming a lot and not paying attention to the intructor giving us vital information about things to remember that maybe in midterm test.
I've gotta start on my big paper tomm. or else I'll fall too far behind. Didn't really sat down and read the books I picked out. Skeem through most of them to see if they usable for my essay. I still want to print out a couple electronic articles. Makes it a lot easier for me actually having physical copies instead of just pdf. files.

Got to remind myself I NEED TO TURN IN THOSE JOB Apps. I need some cash in my pockets and buy stuff to make my apartment smell all pretty and vanilla.

CADD and email homework sucks

I hate it when the professors/ instructors say will email you your homework and you forget all about it for the next 3 days. Though, I am doing it right now, it just bugs me that I have to check another email account of mine.

Exactly like what the subject title said, my back, head and right arm is sore after slipping on a sheet of ice. I was at the Core, the local comic shop here, and a friend of the comic shop owner got his car stuck in the ditched at the Family Video next door. I left to help during one of my matches (didn't really care since I lost 2 rounds already). Me and couple others follow Jon to his friends car. As we were getting to the car, Jon walk pasted a small sheet of ice and said, "watch out for the ice," me being a dumb ass said, "what" and slip, fell on my back, and knocking off my hat and glasses. Skipping that painful moment, we got to the car, used the front seat rugs, put them under the front wheels to get some traction while we push. It did work and I made 8 bucks that (really, 8 dollars worth of store credits) which I spent on L5R cards.

My week has been busy, I'm hoping to get a job at Family Video, though I got to find time to finish the last part of the job app. I have an 8 page paper about gay marriage due in 2 weeks. I had to choose between Stem Cell Research, Evolution being taught in Public Schools, and this. I do like my english comp class how it's more in-depth than most of my other classes. Though, it's paper heavy, it's not so hard.

Going home this Friday for New Years, hopefully I get some cash.

Religion: the Card Game

While dropping off Steven from Cedar Falls to Des Moines, we thought up a funny card game that dealt religions battling eachother. We probably got the idea after coming back from a L5R and YGO tourney. lol I felt like a nerd on how deep we got into this, like it would have the L5R dual deck set up, major and minor clans, followers, and stronghold but somehow have it mainly like MT:G. We wanted 7 different religions, but a bunch of minor ones. but the idea died down after all the college work I have to get down when I got back.

We thought the idea was funny as hell and thought the game would probably go something like this:
Player A: "I play Jesus....Response?"
Player B: "I'll play Crucifixion, pwning Jesus"
Player A: "oh noes...he got crucified, I'll resurrect Jesus back with his effect"
Player B: "Playing Spear of Destiny to counter Jesus, my followers now gets a +3/+3 and Spear of Destiny is remove from the game for 5 turns"
Player A: "Jesus Christ, stop contering Jesus!" lol pass
Player B: "My turn, play Buddha..

It sounds kinda fun, lol

Anyways, I got a 5 page paper and a 2-D project to finish. My 2-D class is rushing way too fast, but it ain't so bad. I actually like my Eng Lit class, we have get to write an essay about any music video of our choice, which I thought was pretty sweet. I'm going to compare and constrast the original Against all Odds song and video by Genesis to The Postal Service version.

I got to stop watching american gladiator and finish my paper :D

Sandwiches

:School Work:

Yeah, schools been good. Got a project to finish, have to draw 6 emotions with lines, shapes, and shades (no symbols), need about 36 sketches, I have about 47. We're going to use Illustrator and practice using the pen tool. I haven't use Illustrator for like 2 years now and I'm pretty rusty with a pen tool.
Kinda Crap all my classes are almost all in the afternoon, but it seem to work very well for me. I have a CADD class, Eng Lit, Drawing I and 2D concepts.
I hate to say it, but I wouldn't mind staying here to finish my BFA.(I have to finish sometime) Though, they don't have my major here. I talked to a my advisor and a couple of Professor and they said I may need to check out, ISU, Ohio State University or U of O if I really want to do what I want to do (industrial design), but still be in price range.

yeah...SCAD was too costly, so I couldn't go :( I still wouldn't mind visitng Savannah, it looks so beautiful. I haven't gotten back my refund to pay off the rest of my bill for UNI this semester. Hopefully it comes soon or else I'm completely screwed. Had to pay rent this month. >_< I should try to find a roommate lol (someone who wouldn't be afraid to live with me)

I'm turning 20 in 1 hour.

I can't really do much since I got class tomm. morning and afternoon and I'm tired as hell. I'll find a way to celebrate it. lol

Spent the whole day planning the next 2 years of my life while doing the usual first day of class stuff , it's pulling me two different directions. Don't want to really think of it yet so I'm going to bed.

Oh well, happy birthday for me.

First Apartment

I finally moved into my first apartment. It's different, that's all I can say. lol Living by myself isn't new to me, but just the fact that I have to be more independant with everything does. So far everythings going alright, but there were still the little things to take into matter. I already forgot to call the cable company to install yesterday to setup my broadband to get into the interweb. (I'm using a random wireless host right now lol) I'll probably do that sometime Thrusday. I got the heating/air and water handle a month in advance. I also forgot other things, like Q-tips, 2 small rugs for the bathroom & front door, more clothe hangers, an extra small crash can for the bathroom, Benadryl - my allergies are kicking my ass, and probably some more stuff I shouldn't be worry about just yet...oh yeah I need hair gel and a hair cut. Oh yeah, lotion too...it's cold dry up here. I wouldn't mind if it wasn't freaking freezing all the time.

Anyways everything going all right, I fell asleep around 8pm yesterday and woke up at 5:50am. Though, I was tossing and turning around 2 in the morning and try with all the effort to go back to sleep. So just laying there three/forths-awake, a bunch of thoughts rush though my head, but it was mostly of what to do next if I get accepted to SCAD, and the heck to do with a BFA in Industrial Design. This probably came from all the books I checked out on being an Industrial Designer. I should call it product design but "industrial" makes me sound cool. I thought to myself about grad school, getting a master at SCAD which would be 2 more years to stay there, and where the hell would I go afterwards. New York is the hot spot, it's where it's all at. About 70% of all the listings in the books I checked out pointed to New York City.

Bought Guild Wars: Eye of the North to keep me busy til school starts monday. I got all my reccomendations and Statement of purpose done and ready to be sent :) I do love the one my physics teacher wrote on me. I would type it out sometime up before I send it.

Life is moving so fast and Benadryl has some messed up side effects. haha

I need to make a trip to that megastore here.
